Note from Mrs. Wojas Hope everyone had a nice long weekend. This week we will continue back with our normal learning and lessons in language arts and religion. Quizzes will be on Friday! Thursday, January 20th we will have the chapter 4 science test. The study guide was sent home last week to study. We will also have our MLK Jr. test next Tuesday, January 25th. The study guide will come home today to begin reviewing. Marking period 2 will be closing this Friday, January 21st. Report cards will be handed out the following Friday on January 28th. Today an at home research project came home. Students will be researching an olympic athlete that will be in the Olympics this year. Please follow the rubric to get full credit. It will be due February 1st. Just a reminder that if you would like participate in the 8th grade recycling project. They are collecting either opened or unopened soup, vegetable or tuna fish cans. This Week in First Grade We Are Working On:
Reading- We will read The Big Race and work on drawing conclusions as we read.
Phonics- We will begin working on the long a with silent e (a_e)
Math-We will continue working on place value and ways to make a number up to 100.
Religion- We will begin chapter 15 this week
Social Studies- We will continue working on Martin Luther King Jr. Test = 1/25
Science- We will continue learning animal habitats Test = 1/20
